Nordic Games officially announced a remaster of the 2010 Darksiders game for next generation consoles and PC, set to arrive towards the end of October this year. For people unaware about the story, it’s centered around the Horsemen of the Apocalypse. War is accused of inciting a war between Heaven and Hell, breaking a sacred law. He’s stripped of his powers and given the opportunity to return to Earth in order to clean up his own mess.
The console versions of the game will all have native 1080p resolution, while the PC version gets support for 4K and additional video options. All the texture resolutions have been doubled, alongside other rendering improvements and rework. To finish it all off, Darksiders Warmastered Edition will have improved post processing effects and better shadow rendering. They promise 60 FPS for all systems except for the Wii U, which will have 30.
Nordic Games took the time to address a leaker in the midst. “We had a short-lived epidemic of premature emancipation, causing the affected persons to burp out sensitive info a little sooner than planned,” said PR & Marketing Director at Nordic Games Philipp Brock. “But after a minor surgery and some medication, we got it all under control.”
Darksiders Warmastered Edition comes out on October 25th, 2016 at a $19.99 price tag for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U. To keep in touch with the developers, check out their website, Twitter, and Facebook.
