If you've been playing the Secret War or just looking forward to the Secret World, it's time to start getting excited, with over one million people signing up for The Secret World beta.
“Combining this positive number with the excellent feedback we have received from both beta testers and the press that have played the game, make us very optimistic for a successful launch of The Secret World,” Funcom SVP of Sales & Marketing, Morten Larssen, said in a press release from Funcom on the 5th of May.
Meanwhile, The Secret War, a browser game used to promote the lead up to The Secret World, enjoyed over two million unique users, with over two million visits in just three weeks.
The first of a series of beta weekends for The Secret World begins today, with "Kingsmouth Calling" giving players the chance to test out the Templar secret society. Starting London in, players will then get to explore Solomon Island to investigate the “mysterious events” that have taken place.
The Secret World is available for pre-order, and will launch on the 19th of June.
