Now Available: We Happy Few On Early Access

July 26, 2016 by Nick Monroe

Wakey wakey! Time to take your joy.

WeHappyFewHeaderThe psychedelic mind-trip that is We Happy Few is now out on Steam Early Access and Xbox One Game Preview. To celebrate the occasion, the developers have a gameplay trailer to show you around the 1960 era British dystopia known as Wellington Wells, that’ll you be able to play around in.

From what they show off, there’s two different realities going on here. If you take your joy, you get to see the happy go-lucky and colorful world that the citizens see when they’re high on drugs. But along with that comes heightened expectations and rules to abide by in order to blend in. If you don’t take your joy, you’ll be shoved off to the Garden District with the rest of the downer class. In this case, you seem to be free of the constraints that come with being a joy addict.

As a reminder, this is just an Early Access build, so there’s more of the game to come when it releases to Xbox One and PC in 2017. In the meantime, make sure to keep tabs on Compulsion Games via their website, Twitter, and Facebook.
