In 8DAYS, you play two soldiers on a mission from G.O.D. (a mercenary company called Gold, Oil, and Diamonds, Inc) in this action indie twin stick shooter. The development team over at Santa Clara Games has a launch trailer up and ready, in order to brief you about the mission.

The game is centered around two G.O.D. mercenaries. Mike “Ghost” Doe is a 40 year old man from Australia, and he was raised as a survivor man who was born in the cradle of the harsh wilderness. He went on to undercover operations in the Second Gulf War, where he ended up missing in action. Lola “Wasp” Cruz is younger than Mike, but still has the same furious spirit about her. A 24 year old woman from the Mexican Chiapas mountains, whose life changed forever when her mentor died in a paramilitary ambush. That set Lola off on a revenge quest – determined to return the pain to those who slaughtered her teacher.
The game’s first mission was previously released as a bit of a demo for 8DAYS. Rice Wars took you to the far East in order to break the world rice embargo that’s halting the West from enjoying sushi. Your mercenaries have to face the local dictator in order to bring peace to the Rice conflict. The game’s full release has four more chapters beyond that, bringing it to a total of five. The developers say there’s hidden secrets in each of them, with the design and set-up of it allowing a bit of extra replay value. You can take the game on alone, or with a friend in local co-op mode.
