Dragon’s Dogma: Developer Diaries 1 and 2

Dragon's Dogma releases later this month, and the hype machine has kicked into full gear. First up on this hype-platter are two developer diaries, which explain the story, setting, and gameplay of the upcoming open-world RPG.

You are the main character, or hero, of the game. A dragon attacks your village at the beginning of the game, but you are too weak to fight him. This results in your character's heart being ripped from his body, thus turning him into "The Arisen," powerful leader of "The Pawns." This is a group of individuals whose sole purpose to hunt down and kill the dragon which attacked your village.

The game looks to be what "Hunted: The Demon's Forge" should have been – only open-world. The gameplay seems to be completely different from what conventional open-world games offer, and the excitement coming from Capcom's employees is apparent throughout these videos and the interviews therein.
