This has been a nostalgic month for Nintendo. Gamers all over the world are quickly hopping on and hunting down their favorite Pokemon with the behemoth that is Pokemon Go. Although, more recently, Nintendo has revealed an upcoming release of a Mini NES which would come pre-loaded with thirty classic NES video games. Now we’re finding out that Nintendo won’t be releasing any additional video game titles for their miniature throwback console.

The Nintendo Entertainment System was a hit when it first released back in the early 1980s and now decades later, gamers who once grew up with the console can once again relive their childhood memories, but only for thirty video game titles.

Nintendo’s upcoming Mini NES will only have thirty video game titles pre-loaded and it has been confirmed that the device cannot connect to the internet, thus the catalog of video games it comes with will be the only titles available to play.

A Nintendo spokesperson stated the following to Kotaku.

“The console is a standalone device, so it cannot connect to the internet or any external storage devices. The 30 games included with the system were chosen to provide a wide variety of top-quality, long-lasting game-play experiences.”

Furthermore, Kotaku questioned if Nintendo planned to release other mini consoles in the future such as a Mini SNES or a Mini N64. Unfortunately, the spokesperson declined to comment, but we could see Nintendo launching more of these consoles in the future if the Mini NES has a successful launch.

If you’re curious about what video games will be coming with the Mini NES when it launches for $59.99 this November, check out the full list down below.
