Epic Mickey 3DS plot details Revealed

April 30, 2012 by Mat Growcott

The plot for the 3DS game based in the Epic Mickey world is very interesting, especially if you played Castle of Illusion as a kid.

Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion is in development alongside the Wii, PS3 and 360 titles Epic Mickey: The Power of Two. We'd already been told that it would be a sequel of sorts to the classic Castle of Illusion, but Disney this morning have gone into a little more detail, telling us exactly what we should expect.

Power of Illusion takes players back to the titular Castle of Illusion, only to find that it has fallen into disrepair. Forgotten Disney characters roam the halls and evil witch Mizrabel finds herself an unwilling resident of Wasteland, hoping to use the castle's power to put herself in a less pitiful position.

Using Mickey's now trademark paint and thinner, Mickey must, as usual save the day. Will the link to Castle of Illusion be enough to sell this game to the 20-25 year old market of gamers that remember that game so well?
