Alan Wake sells 145K copies in May, Microsoft still pursuing downloadable chapters

Alan Wake

The latest reports from NPD are showing that Alan Wake has sold only 145K copies in May compared to Read Dead Redemption’s 1.5 million copies sold on both platforms. Alan Wake took close to 5 years in the making and was also developed by Finnish developers, Remedy also responsible for the Max Payne series.

In spite of the fact that the game failed to feature in the top sales chart for may, Microsoft is still interested in releasing downloadable chapters for the game.

Alan Wake was released May 18, 2010, alongside Red Dead Redemption and Split/Second, exclusively on the Xbox 360 and scored an average score of 8.6 out of 10 from 37 reviews. Check out the top 10 game sales for the month of May in the US here
