After a trailer lead late last night (or early this morning) Ubisoft has confirmed the development of Rayman Legends.
The game is indeed a sequel to Rayman Origins and is once again being helmed by Rayman and Beyond Good & Evil creator, Michel Ancel at Ubisoft's Montpellier studio. The publisher also notes, however, that what's shown in the leaked trailer (near field communication technology being the standout) is purely theoretical. The video was created as demonstration to be shown internally. Ubisoft also indicates that it doesn not confirm the final design (and hopefully name) of the Wii U itself.
But back to the good news. Rayman Origins definitely has a sequel and Michel Ancel is still working! Yay! It's not Beyond Good & Evil 2, but I'll take it!
