The hit game from Paradox Interactive, Stellaris, is getting a DLC species pack that brings the Plantoids race into the galaxy. They’re basically a sentient group of plants that managed to evolve and figure out space travel. There are fifteen new portraits, new ship models, and a cityscape to backdrop these green inhabitants.
Paradox Interactive also took the time to announce the release of the Stellaris soundtrack, in addition to an e-book titled Stellaris: Infinite Frontiers by Steven Savile. If you fancy either of those things, you can check them out here and here. The Plantoids will fit in with the universe of Stellaris, the grand real-time strategy that supports up to 32 people on the same map. There’s already a diverse cast of unique random species you can pick to play as, but it’s nice that Paradox has found a way to expand that horizon even further.
