There were rumors, development photos leaked on Twitter, a domain was even registered: it looks like it's finally time for Sony to unveil their stab at Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. template with what is suspected to be called PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale.
GameTrailers TV is promising a reveal of "a huge PS3 exclusive" tomorrow night. They say they'll have gameplay footage included with the title in question confirmed to come from SuperBot Entertainment (rumored to be the PS All-Starts studio from the moment the rumors began.)
It's easy to cynical about the very idea of this; I have been myself. But then I remember: Sony's first-party titles are rarely (if ever) half-assed. I'm not quite hyped, but I'm interested to see just how the game looks and plays. Sony's portfolio of franchises has a wild diversity to it that Niintendo never has.
