For those of you who have not gotten an invite to the Diablo 3 beta: Blizzard is looking out for you, too!
This weekend the prestigious developer will be offering free entrance into the game's beta. While it never really cost players anything in the first place, it was still somewhat hard to get into because of the fact it was invite-only.
In any case, they tout this as a "stress test" for the game's servers. As the industry grows closer to the game's release on May 15th, Blizzard will be moving more towards refining the game and troubleshooting glitches – a process they know all to well; World of Warcraft has given them a mountain of experience in this area.
Anyways, the open beta weekend will start this Friday at 12:01 P.M. PDT and will be available to the public until Monday, April 23rd at 10:00 A.M. PDT. You will be allowed to progress all the way up to level thirteen, play each of the game's classes, and get a taste of what Blizzard's latest project has to offer.
