In celebration of Pokemon’s 20th year anniversary, The Pokemon Company has been giving out gamers who have one of the latest Pokemon titles, a free mythical Pokemon every month. Today marks the first day you can get your hands on the latest free mythical Pokemon, which happens to be Shaymin.
Shaymin is a grass type mythical Pokemon, but you can turn it into the Sky Forme if you pick up and use a Gracidea Flower. Unlike some of the past free mythical Pokemon gamers can get with the latest video game installments, you can pick up Shaymin right at the luxury of your home.
All you have to do is power on either Pokemon X, Pokemon Y, Pokemon Sapphire, or Pokemon Omega Ruby for the Nintendo 3DS, and go to the Receive Gift option. From there, you can claim your free level 100 Shaymin at any in-game Pokemon Center.
Shaymin comes with the special moves, Seed Flare, Aromatherapy, Substitute, and Energy Ball. Normally, gamers had to travel to select locations such as GameStop in order to claim their Pokemon and it’s not known if the future free mythical Pokemon will also be available to claim right at your home.
For now, you can claim Shaymin up until July 24, 2016, which happens to be the last day you can claim this month’s Pokemon. Starting in August, players can claim Arceus and Victini in September.
