April 19, 2012 by Andrew Kent

Enter your map design for a chance to win big!

If you or someone you know is short a $1,000 in cash and great at designing levels for tower defense games then read on! Trendy Entertainment is announcning it’s first ever Dungeon Defenders map contest with a grand prize of $1,000 that comes with a prize pack. Designers also get their map put into the Dungeon Defencers game and will, of course, be given credit for their work.

Here are the rules guys and gals:

  1. Maps should be traditional Tower Defense, supporting 4-6 Heroes. Use of special mechanics like fans and magic carpets is fine. Boss fights are also allowed.
  2. Use of custom materials is allowed
  3. Collaborations are allowed but you have to split the prize that is awarded. However, only one map per author is allowed.
  4. Maps created prior to the start of this contest are not eligible
  5. Make the map actually work! If the map does contain errors you won’t be disqualified though. You will however receive a small penalty in your score.
  6. You must submit your entry no later than June 21 at 11:59 P.M. EST

Your map will be judged by popular and judge vote. The categories being voted on are: Balance, Originality, Detailing, and Optimization. If you need more information please click on this link: Detailed information about categories

Too nervous that you’re not good enough for number one? Don’t fret, there are prizes for people who land second, third., and fourth place.

2nd place: $500 and a DunDef prize pack
3rd place: $250 and a DunDef prize pack
4th place: A DunDef prize pack
