They say that sex sells, but perhaps putting it in a kids’ game like Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz for the PS Vita isn’t the best idea.
Not ones to turn away the opportunity to make a few extra sales and or miss the chance to use the game’s 3D game mechanics for what I can only refer to as “sexy reasons”, SEGA’s decided to include an “adult” map themed around the body of Japanese gravure idol Yukie Kawamura. The model previously advertised the game in live-action ads. Yukie-chan’s breasts pop up in 3D and serve as obstacles for the Super Monkey Ball.
We hope that SEGA shows some reason and doesn’t offer the same deal to Western audiences, where the inclusion of such risqué content may serve only as a detriment to sales.
Super Monkey Ball will be released on June 14 in Japan.
