Having almost the same name as Sniper Elite v2 can be rough, but Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is a totally separate game and according to its publishers at Namco Bandai, it's just been dated for an August 21 release for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 is a direct sequel to the first Sniper: Ghost Warrior. It is powered by CryEngine 3 and its developer City Interactive touts it as an authentic sniper experience with "unprecedented levels of realism in weaponry, ballistics and environmental factors."
Unlike Sniper Elite v2, which is set during the fall of Berlin in 1945, Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 takes place in various locations throughout the globe, including urban, jungle, mountain, and tundra environments.
