Virtua Fighter is a franchise that has, over time, become a mainstay in the large fighting game genre. Along with seriess such as Soul Calibur, Street Fighter, Tekken, and others – it is truly one of the greats.
Well, for those of you who have been playing Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown and need some renewed interest in the title, it turns out SEGA – even after two years – is thinking about you. Aren't they sweet?
Hori, a fightstick developer, has announced that they are bringing an official Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown fightstick to the PS3 this summer. This stick is already released in Japan, apparently, but many American consumers will likely jump at the opportunity to own one of these.
The fightstick runs for 13,800 yen in Japan, which equates to roughly $170. Since the stick has already been out for some time in Japan, it may cross over at a higher price. While this is possible, it will not likely stay at this higher price for very long.
