Earlier today, the Kickstarter effort fighting for Shadowrun Returns passed the momentous $1,000,000 mark – I feel classy just reporting that high of a number.
The milestone also came with an update from Harebrained Scheme's Jordan Weisman, who spoke on what this meant for the game and what they hope to achieve should the game reach $1.5 million and $2 million, respectively.
"We started, as you can tell, with a small budget," said Weisman, "With a small budget and a very focused design, and you guys have really allowed us now to add enormous depth there."
He goes on to talk about how the extra funding will allow them to add an entire city to Shadowrun Return's world, as well as an increased amount of polish for the game's features.
He also notes that, "If we can get to 1.5 million, we will construct a backers-only, exclusive mission." This quest in particular will deal with stories from their SNES and Sega Genesis titles.
While he was not keen on discussing what would happen if they hit $2 million, we here at Gameranx will bring you the news should that amount of funding occur. Stay tuned!
