Three Cheers For Action in This Lollipop Chainsaw Trailer

April 13, 2012 by Ron Taylor

A new trailer for Lollipop Chainsaw showcases some of the game’s action.

Warner Bros. Interactive is handling publishing duties for Lollipop Chainsaw in the western world, but the ball is in Kodokawa Games court for Japan.

Here we've got a new trailer from them detailing the action element of Lollipop Chainsaw. What do you think?

I have to say that while my expectations are forever tempered, I'm very pleasantly surprised by what's on display here. Initially I was doubtful Lollipop Chainsaw could hold it's own against Japanese action-game staples like Ninja Gaiden and Devil May Cry, but I may have been wrong! Even if it doesn't, there's definite potential for it to get pretty close.

While the shooting elements in particular continue to worry me, the attempt to keep the gameplay varied overall is always admirable. It's looking more and more like Lollipop Chainsaw is going to be a sweet ride.
