Bioware Offering Gifts to Players in Star Wars: The Old Republic

April 13, 2012 by Jacob Saylor

More free playtime and other goodies!

Bioware has been forthcoming with free-to-play weekends and other sorts of interesting events to garner attention to its MMO, and this is perhaps the biggest of them all. Bioware is providing something for all players – new, veteran, or even unsubscribed.

The first gift is a free in-game pet for every player – a Legacy Tauntaun Ram.

To receive this gift, all you have to do is make sure you meet the following criteria by April 21st at 10:00 A.M. PDT:

  • You must have purchased the game and redeemed an official Game Product Registration Code at the Code Redemption Center.
  • You must have signed up for a recurring subscription using a valid payment method OR redeemed a Game Time Code.
  • Your account must not be banned.

The second gift is for players who have reached level fifty, which is an admirable achievement in The Old Republic. How does thirty days of free game time sound?

Not bad, obviously. To be a recipient of this free game time, you must be level fifty and meet all of the criteria mentioned in the first gift's requirements. This will occur on April 13th AEST.

The last gift is for players who have unsubscribed. You will be allowed to log back in starting at 3:00 P.M. AEST April 13th and play the game for a full seven days for free. The same critera apply as the first and second offers.

You can find more information here.
