The latest game in the Tales of series, Tales of Berseria, has Bandai Namco revealing their characters for the upcoming title in small pieces. Today they decided to pull back the curtain just a bit more and showcase the newest characters, Shigure Rangetsu and Melchior.

Both Shigure and Melchior come from the Abbey organization, and their personalities serve as polar opposites of each other. Shigure is more free-spirited, which made him an excellent fighter in battle, but at the cost of his actions being looked down upon by the Abbey. Conversely, the Elder known as Melchior is a very knowledgeable resource on alchemy and ancient legends. He realizes the meaning of why the exorcists’ missions matter to the big picture, leading him to be more willing to do objectionable things.
