This year’s E3 had a sleeping giant of sorts, catching the attention of attendees on it’s own merits, rather than widespread advertisement. Naughty America erected a booth at the recent E3 Video Game Show in LA, to show the future prospects of pornographic experiences in a Virtual Reality setting.
“We know that by the end of the year, 10-20 million people will be looking at virtual reality adult content at least once a month,” said Naughty America CIO Ian Paul in an interview with VR Source. “Predicated on that is a huge market for gaming, and for us gaming solves half the equation. To look at adult VR content you need to have the headset, and if you buy a headset for gaming half the challenge is already solved for us.”
Given the rise of the platform in recent years, it’s obvious that companies like Naughty America are going to try and ram themselves into the market to grab the potential buyer’s attention. In time we’ll see which porn studios can withstand the friction and gulp down on the security of an audience for this.
“From HD to 4K and now VR, Naughty America has been a pioneer. As the first major adult studio to produce VR content, they have been pushing the technology’s capabilities, developing VR-specific video and sound equipment, shooting techniques, and even training performers to play directly to VR’s immersive nature,” read their earlier announcement.
