It appears one of the strongest-selling titles on the iOS market is bringing a new gameplay mode to the table in the form of ClashMob.
According to EuroGamer, players will be able to team up with thousands of fellow warriors to fight gigantic enemies, or bosses. They will be boasting large amounts of health, and there will be a timed gameplay mechanic applied to the whole mix: should you kill the bosses under a certain time, you and the group which accompanied you will receive unique items.
Chair Entertainment, the developers behind Infinity Blade 2, want to have three of these monumental battles going on at all times. It has been noted that they are attempting to have each of the three battles be unique from the others.
This means that one group will be fighting one boss with a totally different goal than the other group. This probably means that the bosses will be different as well.
It has has also been reported that there will be separate ClashMobs for players who boast more advanced levels, so new players do not get their hands on extremely powerful items before the seasoned players.
The update will be free, and heralds the oncoming of twenty-four new equipment pieces for which you and your friends can vie over. Furthermore, a redesigned gem slotting interface and gem forge feature will be part of the update.
Look for this massive part of Infinity Blade 2's future on April 21st.
