Ever wish that Nintendo would just go through and do an HD remake of all your favorite classic Zelda games? Well, part time game programmer Homer (a pseudonym) is wanting to make your dreams come true. A whole Zelda game is not going to be recreated in HD, only the entire last battle with Ganon in A link to the Past. He is only a part time programmer guys, cut him some slack.
Anyways, apparently this project was spawned by an illustration of an HD version of the battle between Link and Ganon in A link to the Past. Billy B. Saltzman is the artist behind this illustration and you can check out the drawing on his deviant art here: Link VS. Ganon
Homer is planning on using Unity 3D for the remake and once he completes the build of the project he hopes that Saltzman will come in and clean up the artwork and animations. If you're interested in watching Homer at work you can catch him on his livestream every Tuesday and Thursday at 8 PM EST and Saturdays at 2 PM EST here: Homer's livestream.
