The scales may have just tipped in favor of Sony in their battle for viewers with Microsoft, thanks to the launching of Amazon Instant Video on Sony's PlayStation 3, which can be downloaded right now on the PlayStation Network.
Amazon Instant Video offers its full range of functions, allowing users to both rent and purchase movies and TV shows directly onto the PlayStation 3. Members of the Amazon Prime service will also have full access to the perks available to them on the web service.
Like Netflix, Amazon Instant Video allows you to stream movies without having to download them—though doing so is available as an option.
