Instead of releasing an all new game for UEFA EURO 2012 and cashing in on the bigtime, Electronic Arts has decided instead to make UEFA EURO 2012 a DLC for their existing football title, FIFA 2012. It's basically DLC done right.
The DLC is the first of its kind for the ever popular FIFA series of games, the latest of which sold over 10 million copies on both the 360 and the PC.
"We felt this was the best way to extend that experience and deliver fresh new content to our fans," said EA. "We expect that some fans who may not have FIFA 12 will want to play Euro 2012 and therefore purchase both, but the bigger opportunity for us is to offer our loyal and passionate FIFA fans new content."
The DLC will be available for purchase and download on April 24. It is priced at 1,800MS points on the Xbox 360 and 2,500 FIFA points on the PC.
