During the Microsoft E3 2016 press conference, Bandai Namco Games brought out the highly anticipated installment of the Tekken franchise, Tekken 7. The video game was shown off worldwide during the E3 event where we saw Akuma and Heihachi duke it out in a grand battle. If you missed the E3 Microsoft press event then take a look at the trailer posted above.
Not too much of the story is known quite yet about Tekken 7, we do know that this will serve as the conclusion to the Mishima clan saga and that the overall story tone will be dark. Within the trailer, we got a glimpse of some gameplay, but there’s plenty of information about the game that has been kept out of the E3 showing.
We do however know that Tekken 7 will be launching early in 2017 and if you’re a Xbox Live Gold member, you’ll snag a free copy of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 though it’s not known if Sony PlayStation 4 or PC gamers will get the same treatment. Regardless, we’ll likely know more about Tekken 7 later on this year, but for now, take a look at the new E3 trailer for the game which is posted above and some game screenshots down below.
