In a recent interview with Gamespy, creative director Alex Hutchinson mentioned that there would not be much “investment†in a mouse and keyboard for Assassin’s Creed III game play.
“We’re definitely supporting PC, we love PC, but I think it’ll be PC with a controller. I don’t see us investing hugely in a mouse and keyboard setup. I think if you want to play on PC and you want to play Assassin’s Creed, you have a controller.â€
I’ve never played Assassin’s Creed on the PC but apparently people from Gamespy and Dtoid see no problem with using a controller for the PC version of the game. So then we’re good right? That’s it? Wrong-o my dear readers. Wrong-o. There is a petition on the Bureau of Petitions website to give Assassin’s Creed III “proper†PC support. The best part? The person who wrote the petition statement tries to “reason†with us by saying this:
“While it’s true that the majority of games are made with the consoles in mind, not supporting the Keyboard and Mouse is simply unacceptable. What’s next? No PC support at all? I request Ubisoft, who want to deliver us an ‘AC 3.5’ to please include proper support for Keyboard and Mouse in the game.â€
Oh mai, AC 3.5? A whole other game just so you can get PC support? I really hope people are angry over the lack of PC support because I can smell the potential news posts that will come out of this.
