Styx: Shards of Darkness Gets an E3 Trailer

June 9, 2016 by Nick Monroe

Styx the Goblin returns to put the Steal back in the Stealth video game genre.

StyxShardsHeaderThe sequel to Styx: Master of Shadows is coming this year, and now there’s an E3 trailer showing off more of the game’s story. The main character from the first game returns – a shady little Goblin named Styx, whose goal in life is to steal the wealth of the world. In Shards of Darkness, he’s enlisted to steal the Queen’s scepter.

But will Styx meet his match? Shards of Darkness has new abilities and movement mechanics to help enhance this entry into the stealth genre. You can even use your trusty knife as a zip-line, to provide an easy escape from danger. While Master of Shadows was back on Unreal Engine 3, Shards of Darkness makes the leap to Unreal Engine 4. It’ll be interesting to see what the team at Cyanide Studio does with the new engine at their disposal.

Styx: Shards of Darkness will arrive sometime in 2016 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. But if you want to check it out sooner, it’ll be on display at E3. Check out the website, Twitter, and Facebook for all the latest updates in the meantime.
