Irrational Games Reveals the Siren, a Ghostly Entity Which Raises the Dead

March 27, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

The Siren is a ghostly singer with the powers of necromancy.

Irrational Games has released part four of their Heavy Hitters series, which showcases some of the nastiest monsters you'll encounter within the cloudbound city of Columbia in Bioshock Infinite.

This particular episode showcases the Siren, which Ken Levine describes as the studio's nod to a social movement at the turn of the 20th century which involved the spiritual world.

The siren is a ghostly performer whose voice has the ability of raising the dead.

"The Siren is an entity whose in contact with the other world, and can actually bring Brooker's enemies back to life to fight Brooker once again," says Levine.

Depending on your equipment and your style of play, you will have to decide whether to take out the Siren first or deal with her minions before engaging her in combat.
