This is just in despite having taken place two days ago in Seattle, the quaint little town in the northwestern corner of the United States.
Seattle’s Space Needle has been transformed into a -sadly non functional- bird slingshot to promote the launch of Rovio’s newest entry and first true sequel in the Angry Birds franchise, Angry Birds Space. The PR stunt has been a collaboration between Rovio and T-Mobile, and apparently caused quite a ruckus in Seattle, since it appeared unclear for a while if the giant inflatable bird was supposed to be actually launched from this ‘launch pad’ or not.
