Set in an abandoned shopping centre 25 miles outside of London, The Mall is an experience like no other. For a little over £100, you'll spend a few hours in a zombie apocalypse, fighting for survival and battling your way through hoards of the undead. It's a full-immersion "real life" game that will pit you against "real" zombies in a story based on Dawn of the Dead, Left 4 Dead and Resident Evil.
Using Airsoft weapons, you'll be trained by specialists to fight as a team and hopefully make it through the mission. There'll be times when you'll need to find cover and dig in and other times when you'll need to run for your life. In short, this isn't a game that should be played by the faint of heart or by people who aren't prepared to run like hell.
The game is split into two halfs, the first is more like a movie. The second half is split into shorter missions, fighting tougher monsters.
It sounds like a pretty fantastic few hours, especially considering the relatively low price and the bevy of references the creator says are in there for zombie fans. If you can make it to Reading, give it a go.
