With E3 around the corner, you can expect game announcements to start ramping up. One of these is the announcement of Harvest Moon: Skytree Village for the Nintendo 3DS, being developed and published by Natsume Inc. The main plot of the game is that the Oasis of the Harvest Goddess isn’t as green and lavish as it once was. Your mission is to revive the seven Skytrees to bring life back to the downtrodden land.
“After the evolutionary Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley and a successful jaunt to mobile platforms with Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories, we are really excited to share everything we have learned with our fans,” according to Natsume CEO Hiro Maekawa. “Our community is very important to us, and their feedback and input has been taken into account a great deal in the development of Harvest Moon: Skytree Village! We hope they will see and feel their contribution in this new game!”
Some of the features listed for Harvest Moon: Skytree Village include the ability to play as a boy or a girl, find a mate, and start a family. The game will come with a variety of discoverable flowers and crops, and a fishing gameplay mechanic that allows you to expand the waterways to find rarer fish to catch. You’ll be able to customize your farm, and create rivers and ponds as you raise and lower the land to your will. You can upgrade your tools along the way to make the process go easier.
“We’ve revisited each and every part of what makes a Harvest Moon game, and are excited at the end result,” said Harvest Moon series producer Taka Maekawa.
Harvest Moon: Skytree Village will be available at E3 between June 14th and 16th at South Hall’s #513 Booth. Check out Natsume’s website and Twitter for the latest info as it’s released.
