In preparation for the release of Mafia III this October, 2K games announced new details today about the Collector’s Edition of the game, and what you can expect from that offering.
The main stand-out items are music related content, which is fitting for the era the game takes place in. You’ll get two vinyl soundtracks – one of the original game score, and a second one giving you the tunes of New Bordeaux. Next up, there’s collectible lithographs of the Alberto Vargas Estate and Playboy, sampling the art players will see in Mafia III. But if that wasn’t enough, you’ll also get a full Mafia III art book, taking you inside the creative process of sculpting the world of New Bordeaux. To finish it off, the Collector’s Edition comes with replica dog tags and replica drink coasters.
The Mafia III website took the time to talk about the inclusion of Playboy in the game over at this blog post. Playboy was a notable magazine during the late 60s era of Mafia III, which means the citizens of New Bordeaux will have a copy of it. According to the post, Playboy issues are a collectible item in the game.
The Collector’s Edition comes with a Season Pass for any future Mafia III DLC too, so you can’t go wrong with this package. Mafia III rolls out on October 7th 2016 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
