If you are a Call of Duty Elite subscriber, you may have downloaded the mobile app for your phone. Based on the fact that the mobile app was pretty popular, quickly gaining 2 million downloads, Activision has decided to go ahead and create a full tablet version of the app for iOS and Android tablets.
Just like the mobile app, you'll be able to do things like customize your weapon loadout, and presumably make any changes that you would be able to make between rounds right from your tablet. The app will feature cross-functionality with Xbox 360, PC, and Mac service, but information about it working with PS3 is suspiciously absent.
Noah Heller, Activision product director, told T3: "We're working on the tablet app right now, I can't tell you much about it but what I can tell you is that it will be a truly native, customised application for the tablet, it's not just a simple port."
He went on to say that after the popularity of the mobile version, they knew they needed to create 'something special' for tablets. If you are a Call of Duty Elite user, are you excited about the jump to tablets, or could you do without? Let us know in the comments section!
