Marathon’s release date may have already leaked.
As shared on ResetERA by Ramirez, who credited TheJuiceBaba on Reddit, a video has come up on the game’s listing on Xbox Series X|S.
This does not show up on the Xbox Store on desktop. If you turn on your console and go to Marathon’s store listing, you can find this video that shares the release date of March 5, 2026.
The video also says that pre-orders are now available. It can be wishlisted on Xbox Store, but it can’t be pre-ordered yet.
It’s possible that this trailer is supposed to be releasing very soon. In fact, the Xbox Developer Direct is coming up this week, on January 22.
While Microsoft confirmed three games will get the spotlight, we know they also show trailers for other games on these Directs. So we may have gotten advance notice for only a few days.
And it’s also worth pointing out that this date can always change. Bungie seems to be getting good word-of-mouth from playtesters now, but we can never be sure until these games actually come out.
