As we’ve discussed previously, GTA Online has been, er, online, for a long time, and that’s part of what’s made it such a huge success. Rockstar Games definitely didn’t expect it to be this big, but once it got to certain levels, it was undeniable that they had to keep cranking things out and keep players rolling in one form or another. That includes giving them the ability to slowly increase their levels to ludicrous numbers. If you didn’t know, the game mode will let you get well over 1000 in your leveling, and there are plenty of players on Reddit who have achieved that milestone and beyond.
The problem, though, is that despite having these high levels, they aren’t always treated with the respect they deserve, including when doing heists with other players, and getting kicked out repeatedly, possibly because of said high levels:
“Works the other way too, I’m level 1400+ and I get kicked a lot. Sometimes I get kicked from a session as soon as I spawn in.”
“i mean i can kinda understand why… Most people with levels above 1000 don’t sound legit or appear sus since most players aren’t seen with anything above 600.”
That might be the case, but that doesn’t make it sound better. After all, GTA Online players are almost always up for doing a heist! Why stop them from doing that by kicking them off? One player brought in a special thought about what is going on with these kick-outs:
“A lot of people don’t know this, but by default “open matchmaking” is on. If this option is on, when people starts heists/missions it will auto-invite players. So sometimes you simply are getting kicked due to the host wanting to do it solo or waiting on a friend. People do get kicked for being low level on occasion due to the host thinking they will have less experiance, but a lot of veterans love doing all the preps and inviting randoms to help give them a big boost in money.”
What does this all mean in the end? Simply put, it means that Rockstar Games has another challenge on its docket. Specifically, it needs to be ready to fix certain matchmaking issues in the next version of the online mode, and possibly have some “protections” from getting kicked out of a heist for no reason at all.
How will it all go? Only time will tell.
