Belgian gaming site 9Lives.be is reporting that Sony has officially confirmed an HD collection featuring the first three Ratchet & Clank games.
A Ratchet & Clank remaster has been heavily rumored for some time now, and an Amazon France listing of the game earlier in the month seemed to indicate that it was, in fact, on the way.
This new report states that the collection will include the first three games in the series, remastered with 60 FPS HD graphics, trophies, 3D support, and online multiplayer functionality for two to eight players. According to the article, the game will be out on May 16, though it's not specified whether that's a worldwide or Europe-only date.
They've also got an image of the purported box art for the European release, which we've included below. While it definitely looks to be in line with the artwork for the other releases in the Classics HD line, something definitely feels a bit off about the whole thing.
Adding to the confusion, the original story has now been pulled from the site, but Google's cached version of the page is still accessible. With everything so muddle, it's unclear for the moment whether or not this announcement is the genuine article, but we expect Sony to clear everything up in the near future.
