Bloomreaper The Invincible Has Finally Taken Root In Borderlands 4

Bloomreaper the Invincible has finally landed in Borderlands 4.

They shared this description of their new raid boss on this week’s patch notes:

Welcome to The Bloom, home of the rotting parasitic god: Bloomreaper the Invincible. Descend into the sinkhole and take it down before corruption blooms across the world.

You’ll be tested on your ability to survive with your movement abilities in addition to your might and firepower.

… When this ferocious flora finally bites the dust, you’ll be rewarded with a chest full of loot including tiers of bonus rewards.

Depending on your completion time, the Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum-tier rewards you get from this chest will be increasingly powerful. You’ll be able to clearly see how much time you have left to hit a certain tier via your mission tracker.

How Does Bloomreaper’s Rewards Work?

Bloomreaper offers nine potential item drops. Some of these drops are only available in Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode, and there are also tiers for this.

Bloomreaper’s item drops are as follows:

• Rainmaker – Ripper Sniper Rifle (guaranteed drop for Platinum-tier rewards in UVHM)
• Mantra – Maliwan Shotgun
• Undershield – Vladof Shield
• Urchin – Tediore Ordnance (Grenade)
• Jett-Setter – Ripper Ordnance (Heavy Weapon)
• Misericorde – Siren Class Mod (can only drop for Silver-tier or higher rewards in UVHM)
• Overdriver – Exo-Soldier Class Mod (can only drop for Silver-tier or higher rewards in UVHM)
• Trooper – Gravitar Class Mod (can only drop for Silver-tier or higher rewards in UVHM)
• Lamplighter – Forgeknight Class Mod (can only drop for Silver-tier or higher rewards in UVHM)

The New Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode

Gearbox has also raised the cap with Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode 6. This adds new Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode challenges, but also a new Firmware: Skillcraft.

Skillcraft increases stats for your action skills, but you can only avail of them when you reach level 6. Skillcraft tier rewards are as follows:

• Tier 1: Skill Damage +10%
• Tier 2: Skill Critical Chance +10%
• Tier 3: Dealing Skill Damage increased Skill Damage Dealt by 2% for 10 seconds. Max 25 Stacks

Be Warned – This New Raid Boss Is No Joke

Early impressions for this new Raid Boss are negative, but in a good way. Some players are having a hard time dealing with it, but this is the point of Raid Bosses in this game.

You may want to find some other players to join up with to take this boss to minimize the frustration. But the harder it is to take Bloomreaper, the better your rewards should be.
