We’ve seen a real boom lately in video game adaptations, both in movies and television series. One of those big hits that has taken fans on an incredible journey so far is Amazon’s Fallout. This adaptation doesn’t directly go off from any specific game, but tells a new storyline set within the beloved wasteland IP.
So far, there is only one season available to watch right now on Amazon Prime Video. However, season two is quickly approaching this month. Those of you looking to get back into the storyline and characters we’ve come to know from the first season can tune back in on December 17, 2025. That’s coming up here shortly enough, but with it will come some new faces to the cast of characters.
Fallout Season 2 Features Macaulay Culkin
Macaulay Culkin, an iconic actor with credits dating back to his childhood, is joining the show. This actor will be stepping into Caesar’s Legion. We’re ready to see just where this storyline will be taking viewers, but what’s interesting here is that Macaulay Culkin is quite the fan of Fallout, without actually having any time playing the games.
During an interview with IGN over the upcoming season debut, Macaulay Culkin noted that he hasn’t had much hands-on experience with the Fallout games themselves. He notes that there’s just not enough time for him to sit down and play video games as much as he’d like. However, he’s quite a fan of the IP.
The actor went on to say that, before there was even a Fallout TV show, he would spend time watching YouTube videos about the games’ lore. As a result, Macaulay Culkin said that when he and his wife were watching the show, he would pause it to explain some of the lore and subtle subtext.
I’m familiar with the lore in that I watched a lot of YouTube stuff. It was one of those things where, honestly, I’m almost like, I don’t have time to physically do this [pretends to use controller] anymore. But that being said, I have enough time to put a little earbud in my ear and listen to things. And this is long before the show even came out, because it is a very rich world. And so yeah, there’s endless hours of things that you can talk about and explore about it.
Now, fans are waiting to see how the next season shapes up. That first season of Fallout was a huge success, and, hopefully, the next season can continue on with that success, especially since we’re heading to New Vegas. There are a lot of Fallout games out there, but Fallout New Vegas has become one of the most cherished game installments of the entire franchise. Soon we’ll get to see that game’s central location in live-action.
