The community has found the real life location that Rockstar recreated in Grand Theft Auto 6 in one of its promotional images.

User anon-ymouss shared this post on the GTA6 subreddit:
I have a picture from the same vantage point as a GTA 6 screenshot
Taken at the 1 Hotel in Miami over a year ago, before this screenshot was released. The foreground is almost an exact match in both pictures. Kinda interesting.
You can jump over at the reddit to see the real life photo, but you can see the Grand Theft Auto 6 promotional picture that copies it at the top of this article.
What Is 1 Hotel?
This is specifically 1 Hotel South Beach, located in Miami, Florida. The website provides this description:
Your South Beach sanctuary, set along a pristine, 600-foot stretch of shoreline, with translucent, ocean blues in constant view.
It’s a fully featured resort, offering a beachfront location, rooftop bar, pools, a wellness spa, a gym, kid’s playground, events, food and more.
1 Hotel South Beach also touts Silver LEED certification, pointing to her high standard of sustainability. LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, a rating system by the US Green Building Council to review green buildings.
1 Hotel South Beach is one of those highly rated beach resorts that it makes sense for Rockstar employees, especially management, to be checking out.
Does This Tell Us Anything About The Game?
Some Redditors joked about this screenshot leaking things like cars and water, but we think there is a lead for something.
The perspective for this photo was taken from inside a real life luxury hotel. If you know Rockstar, they make these partial recreations of the real life cities they base these US cities from.
They don’t recreate these places 1:1, partly for artistic license. And we’re sure there are legal reasons for this too. But here’s what we think is interesting:
Who Took This Photo?
Most video game companies do hide some key things in their games in their trailers. And they do it in such a way that things can be hiding in plain sight.
Sometimes, they don’t even bother explaining it. Sometimes fans don’t realize that they saw huge spoilers until years after the fact.
So this is where we tell the conspiracy theorists to put their tinfoil hat on. This photo could be from Lucia or Jason. Or it could be from another character, someone else who could afford being in such a swanky hotel.
It could be someone hiring the pair for a heist. Or it could be one of their targets. The view could be for a place Jason and Lucia will heist later. Or it could turn out to be where a major plot event occurs in game.
It’ll be interesting to see a year from now when we find out that this turns out to be a big part of the game’s story. Or it could just be a cool looking place in the game.
And now it’s time to consider if there are other spoilers hiding ‘in plain sight’ in all the Grand Theft Auto 6 promotional materials so far.
