We have a new mod to look forward to in Grand Theft Auto Online while waiting for Grand Theft Auto 6.

BillsyLiamGTA shared this spoiler on Twitter:
You’ve hit the Casino now it’s time to hit the Island.
Belle’s Cayo Perico Heist is coming to GTAV Legacy and Enhanced this month. Experience the most complete version of the Heist Finale from GTA Online, remade entirely from the ground up.
What BillsyLiamGTA Has Made Before
Of course, your mileage may vary on mods, but BillsyLiamGTA has at least earned a reputation with a prior mod. A few months ago, they released Belle’s Diamond Casino Heist, their version of Rockstar’s big heist campaign.
This campaign comes with this description:
INTRODUCING BELLE’S DIAMOND CASINO HEIST
Rob The Diamond Casino & Resort with Belle. Whatever approach you will do is completely random so be prepared for guns blazing or under the radar. Lose the Cops, don’t bring them to the buyer and its a score in the bag for us.
For those wondering, Belle is part of the team who made this mod, alongside BillsyLiamGTA and a third person named nkzgta. While this mod hasn’t been around that long, it has some positive buzz.
On NexusMods, it received 3,002 views, 242 total downloads, 217 unique downloads, and one endorsement. On GTA5-Mods, it has 6,924 downloads, 68 likes, and 9 votes giving it a review average of 4.83 out of 5 stars.
Rockstar Gets Help Engaging The Community, From The Community
Regardless of how good or popular this mod turns out, it does point to something else going on here. Rockstar is facing a dilemma in keeping the fans engaged while Grand Theft Auto 6 is delayed for another year.
So we think it does mean something that the community is helping keep the fans engaged as well. Not every Grand Theft Auto Online player is going to mess with mods, of course.
GTA RP is an even smaller niche than these performance mods in general. But even these smaller efforts with a smaller impact will help keep those fans who were looking for something to stay satiated until the time comes.
We do know Rockstar is actively looking to do more engagement themselves. They have a new job opening for an Assistant Director of Creator Management. This will be their contact person with Grand Theft Auto creators in the community, and they definitely need someone to keep in touch for the coming 11 + months.
But until that job gets filled, and if you’re willing to take a risk, you may want to check out this mod when it comes out this year.
