How long do you think it will take before Grand Theft Auto 6 comes to PC? Detective Seeds shared a bold prediction.

As a reminder, Detective Seeds is a content creator who goes for platinums and reviews games sometimes. Most people may know him for rumors and leaks, but that really wasn’t what his online presence was about.
This is to explain that Seeds did not claim this is based on insider information and is based on his opinion. If he does know something related to this, he probably wouldn’t post this at all.
Detective Seeds says this:
I personally think GTA 6 comes to PC 3-6 month window, rather than the 12 month.
-GTA online makes it rain money
– 3-6 months gives console players time to rampage through.
– You get PC purchases (2027 before Next gen hits (2027-2028)
– You get more purchases on PS6 when it releases for potential PS5 holdouts.
So I think GTA 6 comes to PC much faster.
Is There Really Reason To Believe The PC Port Would Come Sooner?
Take-Two and Rockstar have not really dropped any hint that they would release Grand Theft Auto 6 to PC at all.
Now, of course we expect the game to come to PC. But this is important to point out because fans have been speculating like they already announced it.
A lot of speculation seems to revolve around a Strauss Zelnick interview last week. To quote Strauss:
I think it’s moving towards PC and business is moving towards open rather than closed.
It is weird that most fans didn’t take to Strauss’ claim that gaming was moving towards openness versus closed system. It would be interesting if Take-Two shared the source code for their games and started making games for Linux.
In any case, this seems to be about vibes more than it was about anything that Strauss, Rockstar, or Take-Two promised or committed to.
But we won’t pretend to be better than Detective Seeds here. We’ll drop our own prediction, with no factual basis as well.
What If PC Gets A Simultaneous Launch With Consoles?
As we’ve been told before, the game is content complete. It’s also true that only the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S has been announced so far.
If Rockstar is also working on the PC version, they may be done with their work on that version of the game the same time that they’re done with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions.
So if Rockstar doesn’t have any clause blocking a PC version, they could plan for a simultaneous launch. Microsoft would obviously benefit from such an announcement, so we have to concede Sony would be more likely to create such a clause.
Of course, Take-Two may be the ones who wants to delay the PC version, for the sake of getting to players willing to double dip. We can’t know what they’re thinking right now.
But if they had plans like that, those plans could change because of this delay. Rockstar’s backs are against the wall, and they need to make sure their fans are happy. A simultaneous launch could be just the thing to make everything good come launch time.
What do you think Rockstar is planning for PC?
