People everywhere are still in love with zombies. They've been getting into everything for years, and they show no signs of stopping any time soon. So it stands to reason that The Walking Dead would be getting a game. On Facebook. A Facebook game.
Wait, what's happening? Apparently AMC has teamed up with the social game publisher RockYou to create The Walking Dead Facebook Game, currently being developed by Eyes Wide Games. According to released information, the game is based on setting up and maintaining base camps, and sending out scouts to hunt down usable supplies. The game also features some zombie slaying, but there's no telling yet how that is going to work.
Also suspiciously absent is any news of whether they will be offering micro-transactions, but I would bet that it is safe to assume something will be available to purchase. The game launches sometime in April, shortly after the second season of the show wraps up on March 18th.
I guess this means I actually have to log in to Facebook and give this thing a try when it launches. Anyone else interested, despite the fact that it's a Facebook game?
