Microsoft has previously reported in the past that they are pushing for the Xbox One and PC platforms to play well with each other. Now unnamed sources have revealed to Kotaku that the PC platform will be receiving future Xbox One video games. We very well could be seeing the end of Xbox One console exclusive titles.
The whole event between connecting Xbox One with the PC Windows 10 platform has been labeled as “Project Helix” and we could be seeing future franchises that were once exclusive to just Xbox now release onto the PC Windows 10 platform.
According to the sources and reports made on Kotaku, Microsoft has made a new mandate to release future video games on both the Xbox One and PC platform, this includes the bigger flagship franchises such as the Halo series.
There are already a number of video games announced for both the Xbox One and Windows 10 platforms such as Halo Wars 2, Sea of Thieves, and Gears of War 4. What we don’t know is if we will see previous Xbox One exclusives make their way onto the Windows 10 platform.
We may not see past exclusive titles such as Sunset Overdrive or the latest main Halo installment, Halo 5: Guardians, release on PC. However, for PC gamers, this is exciting news as now they will save quite a bit of money from having to purchase the latest Xbox One console.
Additionally, we wonder if this could affect the sales in Microsoft’s favor compared to Sony and their current flagship console, the PlayStation 4.
