Gearbox has revealed the first Bounty Pack coming later this year to Borderlands 4. Introducing How Rush Saved Mercenary Day.
Gearbox shared this story description:
Rush, the affable leader of the Outbounders, is feeling homesick and nostalgic for the holidays he’s cherished in years past.
By his calculations, it’s about to be Mercenary Day, a jolly time for gift-giving and gunslinging with friends and family, and he’d like to bring that same festive cheer to the people of Kairos.
But his hopes for holiday merriment stand in direct opposition to Screw, the Timekeeper’s Minister of Culture who’s charged with keeping celebrations as bland and homogenous as possible.
Across a series of all-new Main Missions, you’ll show Screw the true meaning of Mercenary Day by any means necessary, and maybe score some new Legendary loot in the process.
What’s A Bounty Pack Again?
If you may remember, Gearbox offered the Bounty Pack Bundle as part of Borderlands 4’s special editions.
There are four Bounty Packs that are part of this bundle. Aside from buying these special editions, you can also buy this bundle separately.
The Bounty Packs are paid DLC, but not at the same size as Gearbox’s planned expansions. They say it has ‘bite-sized-yet-flavorful narrative content.’
Aside from that, these Bounty Packs will come with new gear and cosmetics. Finally, it adds a Vault Card to help you get even more loot.
When you activate a Vault Card, you get more loot and XP in daily and weekly challenges. You can activate the card once you get the Bounty Pack active in the ECHO menu.
What’s In This First Bounty Pack?
These are the rewards coming in this Bounty Pack:
- 4 rerollable weapons
- 4 Vault Hunter Heads usable by Vex, Rafa, Amon, and Harlowe
- 4 Vault Hunter Skins usable by Vex, Rafa, Amon, and Harlowe
- 5 Weapon Skins
- 5 Vehicle Skins
- 4 ECHO-4 Drone Skins
- 2 ECHO-4 Attachments
If you don’t like the stats on your rerollable weapons, you can roll them again and again until you get a build you like.
You can also find these other goodies:
- 1 New Digirunner Vehicle (available shortly after starting the first Main Mission)
- 1 Vault Hunter Skin usable by Vex, Rafa, Amon, and Harlowe (available after beating the boss and completing the Bounty Pack’s final Main Mission)
- 1 ECHO-4 Drone Skin (available after beating the boss and completing the Bounty Pack’s final Main Mission)
