Phil Harrison, formerly of Sony PlayStation, has just been named the head of Microsoft's European Game Studios.
GamesIndustry.biz reports that Harrison will be filling the position left vacant by Peter Molyneux, who recently left Microsoft to work on a new studio, 22 Cans.
While at Sony, Harrison was responsible for overseeing Sony's first party studios, which included Naughty Dog and SCE Santa Monica. He helped to produce games like Uncharted, Resistance, InFamous and numerous other titles, and put the PlayStation 3 ahead of the Xbox 360 in terms of exclusive titles.
We speculate that Microsoft expects big things of Harrison, bringing to the company the successes he had while he was at Sony.
