Metal Gear Solid fans have been waiting for this release. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is finally here and while it might not come with the official hand of the franchise creator, it’s received quite a few praised reviews. Now, players who have either wanted to enjoy Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater again or experience it for the first time can do so.
Unfortunately, they may be doing so despite a few issues that are emerging. Several reports from players have started to appear online, suggesting that perhaps Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater should have been in the oven a bit longer. When the game works, it seems to be more than well-received among fans. The problem is that certain issues are arising that are causing the video game to crash.
Konami Is Aware Of The Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Issues

Konami has taken to the official Metal Gear Solid X account and alerted its followers that a patch is being prepared. This patch aims to resolve some of the issues you’re experiencing with the game. However, until the patch is ready and available for download, it remains a mystery as to which aspects will be covered in particular.
Of course, that said, there were a few areas mentioned in the X post that seemed to have developers honed in on. You can read the issues directly addressed in the post below.
- Performing an additional survival knife attack after completing a series of consecutive attacks to secure food may cause the game to crash under certain conditions.
- Removing the Crocodile Cap from the Survival Viewer while it is equipped may cause the game to crash under certain conditions.
- Collecting food when a hungry crocodile is nearby may cause the game to crash under certain conditions.
- Transitioning from a roll into a crawl may result in the character model floating in mid-air under certain conditions.
- In areas where the camera switches to Intrusion View, character movement may become restricted under certain conditions.
- Opening the Radio Window under certain conditions may cause the game to crash.
Overall, it seems that there are more than a few crashes that can occur in this game, which will be cleared out. Again, we don’t know just when the patch will be ready, but at least we know the developers are working on it.
Hideo Kojima Bowing Out of Playing The Game

As you might already be aware, the creator of the franchise, Hideo Kojima, did not develop this Metal Gear Solid game, as he left Konami several years ago. If you’re wondering what Hideo Kojima thinks of the game, don’t count on him actually taking the time out to play it.
Instead, Hideo recently saw his Death Stranding 2: On The Beach release into the marketplace. Likewise, we recently learned that he had brought out word of a concept that was made for a Death Stranding 3. The catch here is that he has no plans on directing that game.
