If you are a fan of the 'Souls' series, comprised thus far of Demon's Souls and Dark Souls, you're in luck. From Software plans to continue making games in the series and killing players in merciless ways for the near future.
Speaking to GameTrailers, series Executive Producer Ellichi Nakajima said "You have to go back to our roots, which is King's Field. We've made many games in that series. We've always been enamoured by dark fantasy action RPGs. That's just been our core DNA and I think we'll continue to utilise that."
When asked about specifically creating sequels to the Souls games, he was certain they would, adding "The success of both Demon's Souls and Dark Souls… has made us shift our thinking internally, to not just core gamers but to globalise our products that they can be successful on a worldwide scale. That's now one of the key pillars we consider when we develop games in the future."
I would love the Souls games if only they could add the ability to pause the game. Even if you had to play single-player to do it, it would be completely worth it to me. The ability to pause does not confer supernatural powers to the player, but the inability to do so rules out playing the game for anyone with young children or things that may need to be attended to at short notice. Make it so, From Software!
