Hollow Knight fans have been waiting for the incredibly talented folks at Team Cherry to bring out the next game. We knew that they were working on Hollow Knight: Silksong for a good while now. However, what they have avoided telling fans is just when exactly we could expect the title to land in the marketplace. During Gamescom ONL, we learned that there was a special announcement for today regarding this upcoming game.
That announcement finally came out, and with it, we finally received the official release date trailer. If you missed out on the premiere stream earlier today, you can check out the video below. But more importantly, you can also start to mark down your calendars for when you’ll be able to pick up a copy of the game.
Hollow Knight: Silksong Release Date Revealed
Taking to YouTube, the folks at Team Cherry released the new trailer that confirmed Hollow Knight: Silksong was releasing on September 4, 2025. The footage again offered some gameplay and a barrage of enemies you’ll face. Fortunately, the release date is just weeks away. We don’t have a long wait at all to finally give this game a shot and see how it lives up to Team Cherry’s 2017 hit, Hollow Knight.
So get ready to step into the role of Hornet, once a princess to the kingdom of Hallownest, as you attempt to restore your kingdom’s hope. That might be easier said than done, especially for those of you who already had a taste of this gameplay experience with Hollow Knight.
While we have a release date attached, we also know that the game is going to be available across both current and last-generation platforms. At launch, we should see the game available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
